Necklace Size Guide
Choose your length on the product page. Most of our necklaces come in 14" to 22", with an extender chain for a little extra adjustment.

14" (35cm) – choker
Sits close around the base of the neck. -
16" (40cm) – collarbone
Falls just below the collarbone. Ideal for small pendants and initials. -
18" (45cm) – our most popular
Rests on the upper chest. The safest choice for a gift. -
20" (50cm) – relaxed
Sits a little lower, and is lovely for layering. -
22" (56cm) – longer
Mid-chest, for layering or a longer look.
In-between lengths (15", 17", 19" and 21") are available too. Most necklaces come with a 1" (2.5cm) extender, and some with 2" (5cm) – the product details say which.
How to measure: put a piece of string around your neck where you'd like the necklace to sit, then measure it flat.
Layering tip: choose lengths about 2" apart so each necklace sits on its own.

Send us a print and we trace it by hand onto a polished 21mm disc — every ridge and whorl kept as it is, not a generic pattern stamped on. It is one of the few things you can wear that nobody else could have. People buy it for a new baby, for a partner, and often as a memorial piece after someone has gone.
Three Finishes, One Design
Silver, 18K gold or 18K rose gold, plated over surgical-grade stainless steel. The plating is PVD, so it holds its colour through daily wear.

How to Send Us the Print
The engraving can only be as good as the print you send, so it is worth taking a minute over it.
- Ink pad and paper — the most reliable method. Press firmly, roll the finger slightly, and photograph or scan the result.
- Pencil and tape — scribble a patch of pencil on paper, press the fingertip into it, lift the print with clear tape and stick it to white paper.
- Photograph — if you are sending a photo, use good light, hold the camera steady and make sure the ridges are sharp and in focus.
- Upload your image in the personalisation box. If the print is clear enough we trace it digitally, mirroring the real print in exact detail — as shown in the first product image.
- For engraving on the reverse as well, choose the double-sided option and leave the text for both sides.
Engrave the Reverse
The back of the disc can carry a name, a date, initials or a short message — often the name of the person whose print is on the front, and the dates that belong to them.
Which Length?
Choose from 14" to 22" in the personalisation box. 14–16" sits high on the neck as a choker; 18" is the everyday length and the one most people wear; 20–22" sits lower on the chest and suits a wider neck or a layered look. Buying it as a gift and not sure? 18" suits most people, and 20–22" is the safer choice for a man. Our necklace length guide has the measurements.
A Memorial Piece, or a Celebration
It works both ways. A new baby's print is a record of how small they were; a parent's or grandparent's print is a way of keeping their touch close afterwards. We handle memorial orders gently and will tell you honestly if a print is not clear enough to trace well before we engrave anything. It arrives in our signature Abiza suede pouch, ready to give; add a ribboned gift box and a gift note at checkout.
Care
The plating is water and tarnish resistant, so everyday wear is no problem. To keep the shine for longer, take it off before swimming, saunas or applying perfume and lotion, and store it in your Abiza pouch when it is not on. - US: no customs or import charges to pay. We cover them.
