Necklace Size Guide
Choose your length on the product page. Most of our necklaces come in 14" to 22", with an extender chain for a little extra adjustment.
-
14" (35cm) – choker
Sits close around the base of the neck. -
16" (40cm) – collarbone
Falls just below the collarbone. Ideal for small pendants and initials. -
18" (45cm) – our most popular
Rests on the upper chest. The safest choice for a gift. -
20" (50cm) – relaxed
Sits a little lower, and is lovely for layering. -
22" (56cm) – longer
Mid-chest, for layering or a longer look.
In-between lengths (15", 17", 19" and 21") are available too. Most necklaces come with a 1" (2.5cm) extender, and some with 2" (5cm) – the product details say which.
How to measure: put a piece of string around your neck where you'd like the necklace to sit, then measure it flat.
Layering tip: choose lengths about 2" apart so each necklace sits on its own.

Their actual paw, print for print.
Not a generic paw shape. Take their print, send us a photo of it, and we engrave that exact one onto a polished 21mm disc — the pad texture, the ink edges, the toe that sits slightly out of line. Every paw is different, and that is the entire point of wearing one.
Three Finishes, One Design
Silver, 18K gold or 18K rose gold, plated over surgical-grade stainless steel. The plating is PVD, so it holds its colour through daily wear.

How to Take the Print
We need a print they have actually made — ink or paint on paper — then a photo or scan of that paper. There are step-by-step instructions in the product images.
- Pet-safe ink pad or a little non-toxic paint, pressed onto plain white paper. Most dogs tolerate it better than you expect; it helps to have someone hold them.
- Press the whole paw down firmly, including the large pad at the back — a print with only the toes looks incomplete once engraved.
- Photograph the paper flat in daylight, from directly above, with no shadow across it.
- Take a few prints and send the clearest. They rarely get it right first time.
What does not work: a photo of the paw itself rather than a print, a blurred or dark image, a smudged print where the paw moved, or a partial print missing the back pad.
We check every print before we engrave. If yours will not come out well, we will contact you rather than engrave it anyway.
If They Have Already Gone
Many people order this after losing a pet, often from a print taken at the vet or a clay impression made afterwards. A photo of a clay or ink impression works the same way. If it is the only one you have and you are not sure it is good enough, send it anyway and we will tell you honestly what we can do with it.
Engrave the Reverse
The back of the disc can carry their name, their dates or a few words. Choose the double-sided option and leave the text for both sides.
Which Length?
Choose from 14" to 22" on the cable and Cuban chains, each with a 2" extender. 14–16" sits high on the neck as a choker; 18" is the everyday length and the one most people wear; 20–22" sits lower on the chest and layers well. Buying it as a gift and not sure? 18" suits most people. The box chain comes in one length, 16" plus a 2" extender. Our necklace length guide has the measurements.
Care
The plating is water and tarnish resistant, so everyday wear is no problem. To keep the shine for longer, take it off before swimming, saunas or applying perfume and lotion, and store it in your Abiza pouch when it is not on. Read our guide to gold plated jewellery if you would like to know how the finish is made.
