Measure your wrist just below the bone and add about 1.5cm (½"). -

A note left on the worktop. The way your mum signed a birthday card. A child's first go at their own name. Send us a photo of it and we trace those strokes by hand onto a polished bar — the shake, the slant, the way they looped a letter, all of it kept. Not a font that looks like handwriting. Theirs.

Silver, 18K gold or 18K rose gold, plated over surgical-grade stainless steel. The plating is PVD, so it holds its colour through daily wear.

How to Send Us the Writing
- Photograph the writing flat, in good light, with the paper filling the frame and no shadow across it. A phone camera is fine.
- Darker ink on plain paper traces best. Faint pencil and shiny or lined paper are harder, though we can usually work with them.
- Upload the photo in the personalisation box, then tell us which part you want engraved if the note contains more than you need.
- Short works best on a 38mm bar — a name, a few words, a signature. We will tell you if what you have sent will be too small to read once engraved, before we make anything.
Add a Hidden Message
The back of the bar can carry a second piece of personalisation. Choose Both Sides under Engraving — this adds £8 and opens a box for the back text, which takes up to 50 characters: a date, a name, or a short line. Their writing faces out; the reverse is only read by the person wearing it.
Signatures and Last Notes
A good share of these are memorial pieces — a signature from a card, the last note someone left on the kitchen table, a few words in a letter. Those orders get handled carefully, and if the writing is faint or the paper is creased we will tell you honestly what we can get out of it rather than guess. If the original is irreplaceable, photograph it rather than sending it.
Will It Fit?
There is no size to pick. The toggle slides along the chain, so you set the length yourself — anywhere up to 9" (23cm). That makes it a safe thing to buy for someone whose wrist size you do not know.

Care
The plating is water and tarnish resistant, so everyday wear is no problem. To keep the shine for longer, take it off before swimming, saunas or applying perfume and lotion, and store it in your Abiza pouch when it is not on.
