Necklace Size Guide
Choose your length on the product page. Most of our necklaces come in 14" to 22", with an extender chain for a little extra adjustment.

14" (35cm) – choker
Sits close around the base of the neck. -
16" (40cm) – collarbone
Falls just below the collarbone. Ideal for small pendants and initials. -
18" (45cm) – our most popular
Rests on the upper chest. The safest choice for a gift. -
20" (50cm) – relaxed
Sits a little lower, and is lovely for layering. -
22" (56cm) – longer
Mid-chest, for layering or a longer look.
In-between lengths (15", 17", 19" and 21") are available too. Most necklaces come with a 1" (2.5cm) extender, and some with 2" (5cm) – the product details say which.
How to measure: put a piece of string around your neck where you'd like the necklace to sit, then measure it flat.
Layering tip: choose lengths about 2" apart so each necklace sits on its own.

Send us a picture of your dog, cat, horse, rabbit — whoever they are — and we draw them out as fine line art, then engrave it onto a polished 21mm disc. The ears, the expression, the particular way they look at you. Some people buy it while their pet is asleep at their feet. Others buy it afterwards, and wear it every day. Both are right.
Three Finishes, One Design
Silver, 18K gold or 18K rose gold, plated over surgical-grade stainless steel. The plating is PVD, so it holds its colour through daily wear.

Which Photo Works Best
- Head and shoulders, facing the camera or close to it. A full-body shot from across the garden leaves the face too small to read on a 21mm disc.
- Good light, sharp focus, eyes visible. A clear phone photo is fine.
- Dark-coated pets photograph better in daylight than indoors — otherwise the features disappear into the shadow.
- Busy backgrounds are not a problem; we draw the animal, not the background.
- If you want a collar, a bandana or a bow tie kept in, tell us when you order. If something cannot be done we will say so straight away.
Seeing It Before We Engrave
Each portrait is drawn by hand, so we cannot show a preview as standard. If you would like to see it first, add the digital file option when you order (£5): you get one round of changes, and the artwork is emailed to you afterwards as a file you can print or keep.
Engrave the Reverse
The back of the disc can carry their name, their dates, or a few words — often the name on one side and the years on the other. Choose the double-sided option and leave the text for both sides.
Which Length?
Choose from 14" to 22" on the cable and Cuban chains, each with a 2" extender. 14–16" sits high on the neck as a choker; 18" is the everyday length and the one most people wear; 20–22" sits lower on the chest and layers well. Buying it as a gift and not sure? 18" suits most people. The box chain comes in one length, 16" plus a 2" extender. Our necklace length guide has the measurements.
For a Pet Still Here, and for One Who Isn't
It works as a birthday or Christmas gift for someone whose dog or cat is the centre of the household. It also works as a sympathy gift, and we handle those orders carefully — if a photo is the only one someone has and it is not quite clear enough, we will tell you what we can get from it rather than guess. It arrives in our signature Abiza suede pouch, ready to give; add a ribboned gift box and a gift note at checkout.
Care
The plating is water and tarnish resistant, so everyday wear is no problem. To keep the shine for longer, take it off before swimming, saunas or applying perfume and lotion, and store it in your Abiza pouch when it is not on. - US: no customs or import charges to pay. We cover them.
