About Moonstone, June's Birthstone
Moonstone is named for its uncanny resemblance to the moon — every bead carries a soft, floating sheen of blue-white light that shifts as it catches the light (called adularescence). Long associated with the moon, intuition and feminine energy, it was carried by Roman travellers as a charm of safe passage and worn by brides for harmony in marriage. Moonstone is one of June's three birthstones (alongside pearl and alexandrite) and is connected to the crown and third-eye chakras — worn for calm, intuition and the steady arrival of new beginnings.
