A fan of fine tapered spokes that opens out around the ear. At 45mm across, this is the boldest earring in our stainless steel range and the only one that needs nothing else with it. Each spoke radiates from a small crescent base and tapers to a rounded point, so the whole fan catches light as you turn your head.
In 18K gold or silver. Large enough to wear on their own, light enough to forget about.

How Big Is 45mm?
A credit card is 54mm wide, so the fan is a little narrower than that. It sits forward over the lobe and covers roughly the lower half of the ear rather than hanging below it, which is what keeps it comfortable — the weight rests on the lobe instead of swinging from it. If you have never worn statement earrings before, these are a gentler way in than a long drop.
The Art Deco Fan
The fan is one of the defining shapes of Art Deco, running through the jewellery, architecture and glass of the 1920s and 1930s. It is the reason these read as considered rather than simply large. Worn with a plain neckline they do all the work on their own.
Gold or Silver
Both are the same design on the same 316L steel body. The 18K gold is applied by PVD — a bonded finish, far harder wearing than standard plating, so it will not rub away with daily wear the way a thin flash plating does. The silver is a polished steel finish.
When To Wear Them
Evenings out, weddings as a guest, a work presentation where you want one strong thing — anywhere the earrings are meant to be the point. They also hold up to everyday wear, which is unusual for an earring this size: the steel does not tarnish, and the finish survives rain, the gym and a summer holiday.

Care
The PVD finish is water and sweat resistant, so these handle daily wear. Avoid spraying perfume or hairspray directly onto the metal, and wipe with a soft dry cloth after wearing.
