A 6mm Mozambique garnet cabochon sits at the heart of a 20mm sun pendant — raised sun rays radiating from the centre, framed by a textured outer rim. Its deep red colour comes from iron and other trace elements; the name "garnet" itself comes from the Latin granatum, meaning pomegranate, after the seed-like red crystals the stone naturally forms.
