The crown chakra — Sahasrara in Sanskrit — is the seventh and highest of the main chakras. Located at the top of the head, it governs consciousness, enlightenment, and connection to something beyond the individual self — whether that's understood spiritually, philosophically, or simply as the experience of awe, wonder, and unity that sits outside ordinary thought. When Sahasrara is balanced, you feel a quiet sense of purpose, openness, and connection. When it's blocked, you might notice a sense of meaninglessness, disconnection, or rigidity of thinking. The traditional colours are violet and white.
