The sacral chakra — Svadhishthana in Sanskrit — is the second of the seven main chakras. Located just below the belly button, it governs creativity, emotion, pleasure, and the life force in its most immediate physical expression. When Svadhishthana is balanced, you feel emotionally fluid, creatively alive, and comfortable with pleasure and change. When it's blocked, creative stagnation, emotional numbness, or difficulty feeling joy can follow. The traditional colour is orange, and its stones tend to be warm, energising, and deeply connected to the earth.
