Sizing Help

A ring that fits well gets worn every day. One that doesn't tends to live in a drawer. The chart below covers UK, US and EU sizes, and the two methods underneath show simple ways to measure at home using things you already have. If you're unsure, email us at info@abiza.co.uk and we'll talk it through.

How to measure your ring size at home

You don't need a ring sizer to get a reliable measurement. Two methods work well — pick whichever is easier with what you have to hand.

Method 1 — Measure a ring you already own

Find a ring that fits the right finger comfortably. Lay it flat and measure the inside diameter (edge to edge across the inside of the band) in millimetres using a ruler. Match that measurement to the chart above to find your size.

This is the most accurate method if you already have a well-fitting ring to copy.

Method 2 — Use a piece of string

  1. Take a piece of string, ribbon or thin paper strip.
  2. Wrap it around the base of the finger you want to size.
  3. Mark where it overlaps with a pen.
  4. Lay the string flat and measure the length

Labradorite earns its reputation in the light. The marquise cut stone sits at the centre of this ring and shows a blue-green flash as the angle changes — a phenomenon called labradorescence that's unique to each individual stone. Three white topaz accents sit either side, keeping the setting dainty without competing with the labradorite itself.

Details

  • Centre stone: Genuine labradorite — faceted marquise cut, 0.5 carats, 4×8mm, 4mm height
  • Accent stones: 6 × white topaz (3 per side), 1.5mm each
  • Setting: Cluster, 1.5mm band
  • Silver finish: 925 sterling silver
  • Gold finish: 18K gold vermeil over 925 sterling silver
  • Sizes: UK J½ to R½ (US 5–9)
  • Nickel-free
  • Every labradorite stone is unique — the flash colour and intensity varies between stones
  • Presented in an Abiza gift box with crystal information card

Silver or gold?

The silver version keeps the palette cool, letting the blue-green flash in the labradorite lead. The gold version warms the whole piece — it brings out the golden and amber tones that sometimes appear in the labradorescence alongside the blue. Both are sterling silver at the base; the gold finish is 18K gold vermeil plated over 925 sterling silver.

The stone — labradorite

Labradorite is a naturally occurring feldspar mineral known for labradorescence — the iridescent blue, green, and gold flash visible when light hits the stone at the right angle. No two stones flash exactly alike; the colour, intensity, and direction of the flash are unique to each individual piece of labradorite. Traditionally known as the Stone of Magic, it's associated with intuition, transformation, and the awakening of inner abilities. It's a genuinely distinctive stone — not coated or enhanced, just naturally that way.

Care

Labradorite is a natural stone that wears well with sensible care. Avoid prolonged contact with water, perfume, and lotion to preserve the finish and the stone's lustre. The flash comes from within the stone itself and won't fade — but the setting will stay at its best if you store the ring in the Abiza box when not worn.
