The heart chakra — Anahata in Sanskrit — is the fourth of the seven main chakras, sitting at the centre of the chest. It governs love, compassion, empathy, and the capacity for forgiveness — both toward others and toward yourself. Anahata is the bridge between the lower and upper chakras, connecting the physical with the spiritual. When it's balanced, you feel open, generous, and able to give and receive love freely. When it's blocked, you might feel guarded, resentful, or disconnected from others. The traditional colours are green and pink.
