About the Throat Chakra
The throat chakra — Vishuddha in Sanskrit — is the fifth of the seven main chakras. It sits at the centre of the neck and governs communication, self-expression, and the ability to speak your truth honestly and without fear. When Vishuddha is in balance, words come easily and authentically — you say what you mean, hear what others are saying, and feel comfortable being understood. When it's blocked, you might notice difficulty speaking up, a tendency to hold back, or a sense that your voice doesn't carry weight. The traditional colour is blue — from pale sky blue through to the deeper blues of lapis and sapphire.

- Aquamarine — one of the most closely associated stones with the throat chakra. Its clear blue-green has long been linked to calm communication and the courage to speak difficult truths. March's birthstone, and one of the most wearable blue stones in the range.

- Sodalite — deep blue, associated with clarity of thought and rational communication. Sometimes called the stone of logic and truth.
How to Wear It
Throat chakra jewellery is most effective when worn close to the neck — a choker or princess-length necklace (14–18 inches) sits directly near the chakra itself. A pendant at the base of the throat is the traditional choice for anyone doing focused communication work: presentations, difficult conversations, creative performances, or any situation where you want your voice to land clearly.
As a bracelet on the left wrist, throat chakra stones are carried close throughout the day — a quieter approach that keeps the energy accessible without announcing it. Stud or drop earrings frame the ears and jaw, both of which are part of the communication system.
